Frivolous: playful, lighthearted, trivial; the little things in life that should be savored.

Spent the majority of my Super-bowl Sunday with Roto-Rooter. Got out of the shower in the morning and oddly enough, my OTHER bathroom was flooded. Then, when I put the towels I used to clean up the lake on my floor in the washer, water and foul smelling stuff started bubbling up from the shower and tub in each bathroom. It was the twilight zone until my brother-in-law deduced that my sewer main was likely clogged. Five and a half hours later (during which time I couldn't use running water and had to visit my friendly neighbor's house to use the bathroom-- twice) Mister Roto-Rooter finally showed up. Two and a half hours after that, he produced a plastic Home Depot shopping bag that has been residing in my sewer main for who knows how long. I have no idea. But I'm more thankful than ever for indoor plumbing.

Any Bachelor fans out there? I am, regretably, unable to look away from a show that has featured 15 bachelors over the years, NONE of which have ended up marrying the girl they pick in the end. This season is another train wreck. I've heard a rumor that bachelor Ben chooses the "villain" of the season in the end and all I can do each week is yell at him in the vain hope that he can somehow go back in time and choose an alternate ending. He seems like he could be a good guy. But he made the poor choice to go skinny dipping with a girl while he was still dating 8 others and that was it. Game Over. His heart (or rather his loins, in this case) are long gone. What a disaster. But yes, I will be watching it through to the end. Wishing the whole time that Ben would grow a brain.

Highlight of the week: A fairly open schedule. I try to block off at least two days a week where I don't have anything on the calendar and can get a chunk of work done in the office. This week, I had a shoot and lunch end up canceling on the same day. So that meant one more day that I didn't have to look pretty. Yay for extra time to chip away at the ol' To Do list!

My recycling bin was stolen off my curb this week by, what Sara and I believe to be, a girl on drugs. She was wandering around in my front and side yard one morning when Sara came in, and the next time we looked out the window, the human-sized blue bin on wheels was missing. We were told by the city official who delivered us a new one that a recycling bin mysteriously showed up at a nearby bus stop. Between this and my poinsettias being stolen off my doorstep before Christmas, my neighborhood is not sounding like a real winner. It does have big trees though. And two sweet neighbors named Darla & Margo who gave me a bag of pink grapefruit yesterday.

Yes, I did this:
1 -- Wore the heels in the above outfit just for the photo then changed into flat boots for the remainder of the day.
2 -- Just admitted to the world that the highlight of my week was getting more quality time with my To Do list.

Celebrating: The cleaning ladies I pay bi-monthly came Tuesday and magically erased all trace of 13 people invading my house for 2 days (MJ2DAY) and my sewer main debacle. Best form of outsourcing EVER.

Tomorrow is Sara's birthday! Although she looks like she should be toting a backpack and flirting with pimple-faced boys in the lunch line, she's actually 27. On Monday we had our quarterly MJ-team-lunch and reviewed our current business goals and projects. I am beyond thankful to have her on my team!

Feeling Blessed: I have my health, a great God, and nearly-fully-functioning indoor plumbing (still have one toilet on the fritz, but that's another story).
