Yesterday was gorgeous. I spent the afternoon out on Saguaro Lake with my sister and her cute family. As I've mentioned before, these guys are my toughest portrait clients. Both of my nephews have autism and so the key to a successful, low stress portrait shoot with them, is to do something they enjoy -- especially Elijah. He's 9, non-verbal, and won't look at the camera or smile on queue. So shooting him having fun is the only way to go. He LOVES moving and being up high and he's perfectly content whenever the family spends time on their little boat on the lake. So that's what we did. And it was super-fun.

I'm SO thankful to have family members I adore. They say you can't pick your family. But even if I could, I'd pick them anyhow.
