Scott & Megan were married two years ago today on 4.9.11 in Phoenix, Arizona. You can relive their fun engagement shoot on the Phoenix light rail here and their Phoenix Art Museum wedding here.

Today, in honor of these two, I asked them if they would be willing to share their favorite wedding photo and why it's so meaningful to them. They picked the above photo, which I also adore, and Megan shared this about it:

"We have a lot of favorite wedding photos, but if we had to pick only one, this would be it. This is a beautiful picture, and reminds us of why we chose to have our wedding at The Phoenix Art Museum. We chose to take many of our photos before our ceremony and had just finished our first look. While we were taking pictures in the museum, our good friend, Sharon Malane, was rehearsing 'All I Ask of You' from The Phantom of the Opera with the string quartet. Sharon is extremely talented and has an extraordinary voice and we had asked her to sing during our ceremony. Her voice, the words of the song, and this moment brought us both to tears. This was such a special and personal moment for Scott and I, and it was captured in this photo."

Thank you for sharing this with us Megan!

I love finding out which photos are especially meaningful to clients. I remember this moment as well. It's not often that we are serenaded during the bride and groom's portraits and the singing was over-the-top beautiful. At this specific moment, the couple was moved to tears. It was touching to witness, and I'm so glad I continued to shoot.

Happy Anniversary Scott and Megan!! I hope you have an amazing day celebrating your love and many more in the years to come! It was an honor to document your wedding day!
