This photo shoot was SUCH a treat for me! I shot Taylor and Lisa's wedding TEN YEARS AGO in San Francisco and got to reconnect with them here in Phoenix recently to document their sweet family of four.
It was so cute when Lisa contacted me. She re-introduced herself as if I wouldn't remember her and shared that they would be in town and hoped I could document their family. Amidst my elation at hearing from her, I laughed to myself. Even though I've been shooting weddings for 15 years now, I remember each and every client. How could I forget one of my couples after spending 6 months - 2 years serving them and an intense day up close to them documenting their love? Plus I spend so much time looking at their photos -- first while editing them, then afterwards as they are added to my portfolio and occasionally (as Taylor & Lisa's photos were) added to my workshop slides.
Needless to say, reconnecting with Taylor and Lisa and meeting their darling children was the highlight of my week! And now I have an intense need to show you how adorable they all are:
