I photographed David and Katie's wedding five years ago in Kauai and have had the pleasure of taking family portraits of them every year since. It's SO humbling and such an honor to be a part of my clients' lives like this. What a blessing! And not only that, but we've bonded over our love for our pups and have become friends. We moved into the same part of town a few years back and now only live two miles apart. They regularly watch Dixie for me on long wedding days, and I watch their pups, Jackson and Marley, when they go out of town for a long weekend. It's a dream scenario for me because I know they love their dogs as insanely as I love mine -- like they are our own flesh and blood children. Yep -- we're THOSE kind of dog people -- haha!
This year I photographed this sweet family on film at The Farm at South Mountain and my heart just overflows with all sorts of warm, fuzzy emotions when I look at the results. Oh man -- film + clients who have become friends = my heart about to burst with joy. I hope you love them too.
