For the past four years I have been a team captain for our local Walk for Autism. Autism is a cause near and dear to my heart. As many of you know, both of my cute nephews, who are now 9 and 11, have autism. We still don't know the cause or cure for this disorder that affects 1 in 110 children and 1 in 70 boys. We desperately need answers!!!

If you're in the Phoenix area, I wanted to invite you to join my team for this year's Walk for Autism!

The Zoowalk for Autism Research is scheduled for Saturday, October 1, 2011. Our team - We Love Noah & Elijah! - is walking for the fifth year in a row.

Each walker (age 12 and older) is asked to make a minimum donation of $20 which includes a Zoowalk for Autism t-shirt and entry to the Zoo for the entire
day. This year's proceeds from the walk will be used for a Multi-Treatment Study being conducted by Prof. James Adams, ASU Autism/Aspergers Research Program. One hundred children and adults will be receiving tests and supplements associated with the study. I'm so excited about this research group and the findings that they have already discovered in the past years! I can't wait to see what the money we raise will accomplish in the fight to find the cause and cure of autism!

If you're able to join us, will you put it on your calendar and sign up online to join our team? You can do so by clicking here.

Our team has a goal of raising $4,000 this year. If you are able to donate, even $10 or $15 to our effort, you can do so here. Make sure to select our team - We Love Noah & Elijah!

Thanks so much!
