Victoria and Brooke of Victoria Canada Weddings & Events
I can imagine that planning a wedding must be a little overwhelming to choose between so many vendors for such an important day! I have had the opportunity to work with some of the most talented and personable vendors in the wedding industry, and I love to help my clients out whenever possible in creating a stellar vendor team. I frequently refer my clients to professionals I have worked with who I truly believe will do an amazing job for them by sharing my Favorite Vendors List. I also like to occasionally brag on each of them more in depth.

Today meet Victoria Canada of Victoria Canada Weddings and Events and her lead planner, Brooke! Could they BE any cuter? I have been working with Victoria and her team for years and they are AMAZING! If you hire Victoria & Brooke to plan and coordinate your day, you know no detail will be missed. Whenever I shoot a wedding that they plan, I know that the details are going to be stunning and everyone will be in good hands.

Here's some Q & A to help us get to know Victoria better. Read her answers below each question:

1. There are a million and 2 reasons to hire a wedding consultant. If you could only give one to a bride & groom, what would it be?
We advocate for our clients and help them navigate the entire wedding planning process. I think that a good coordinator will be honest with you and will help you avoid common mistakes and pitfalls. The reason our experience is so valuable is because it allows us to guide you, so that you can enjoy your engagement and wedding without stressing about the planning.

2. How long have you been in business?
Since 2001 ... whoa!

3. What got you interested in working in the wedding industry?
Back in the day, in college, I worked for an event planner. Right Brain and Left Brain collided, and ever since then, I’ve loved it! Enter friends who wanted help with their weddings, add their friends who were getting married, and ta da! A career was born. I really fell into this industry, and I'm so grateful that I did!

4. What type of clients do you find yourself most working with?
I find myself working with a lot of native Phoenicians who now live elsewhere. I think 60% of our clientele is from out of town, since the Valley is such a great destination for weddings. However, we love to help with destination weddings. We have created fabulous events from Mount Hood, Oregon, Lake Tahoe, Sonoma, Santa Fe, Dallas, Newport, California and more! No matter the location our clients are looking for a unique and beautiful event that runs smoothly. We tend to work with people who realize we truly can deliver the wedding of their dreams. We love our clients!

5. What is the #1 quality you possess that makes you uniquely suited for wedding consulting?
I'm organized and creative. "Creative" seems to be the most glamorous part of the job, but it is a small portion of what we do. But I love it! I usually am drawing something out for our clients, and I adore creating something that is unique and well conceptualized. "Organized" means that I love creating itineraries and getting into the nitty gritty of events, and also that I keep my head under pressure. In stressful situations, you are not going to see me running around yelling "the sky is falling!" We find the best solution and do it with a smile and sometimes a joke. :)

6. What is your favorite part of the wedding planning process?
Because we are a true boutique wedding planning company we really care about each event. We are not focused on volume. We truly get to know our clients and when I have a great idea and I’m explaining it to them, waving my hands in the air as I describe the vision, there's a moment when my client's eyes light up and I know they both see AND love what I'm describing. That is the best moment!

7. What is your favorite part of the wedding day?
I love seeing it all come together. On the wedding day itself, when all of the moving pieces are in motion and all of the details are in place, I love seeing my clients' faces and knowing I helped bring their dreams to life!

8. Any fun-facts that we should really know that would contribute even more to your coolness?
I'm a HUGE football fan! I even have a sideblog called Football Bettys. Since I'm from Texas, I say "y'all" often and un-ironically. And I’ve been in a bookclub (AKA Wine Club) for 18 years. I’m such a bookworm! We have a new puppy -- a 7 month Labradoodle. He is sweet but quite the bundle of trouble. I also have Brooke working with me. She is fabulous and I have planned many life events with her and her family. She is a true team player and we laugh throughout the day. I love working with her.

I love that you have so many facets, Victoria! Thanks for your friendship and for being amazing at what you do!!
