Some of you may have seen on Instagram a few weeks back that I had a full film crew in my living room. We were working on a project for my album design company -- Align Album Design -- that is dear to my heart.
I LOVE albums. For me there is nothing like putting a tangible custom heirloom album into the hands of my clients at the end of their experience with me. And then when I hear from them years down the line about how they are living WITH THEIR ALBUM and how it is shaping their family life, it's the biggest blessing to my heart.
One of my past clients told me that her 3-year-old daughter thinks of her parents' wedding album as her "favorite book" and that she makes them "read" it to her and talk about all the different people in it. One time her dad was dancing with her in the living room and when he dipped her, she yelled, "like mom on your wedding day!" haha! SO incredibly sweet.
Stories like this inspired this project. My heart behind this project was to help photographers COMMUNICATE THE VALUE OF ALBUMS to their clients. But not with words -- by telling a story of how a couple lives WITH THEIR WEDDING ALBUM through all the seasons of their life.
Today I'm proud to introduce -- The Value of Albums Stock Video:
This film was a HUGE undertaking and one I entered into with fear and trembling since I've never attempted to do anything like it and had NO IDEA what I was doing or getting myself into -- haha! I have so many people to thank, and I will do that here in a second -- I'm so proud of how my vision for this film was executed by this team and of how the finished product came together.
This 2.5 minute short film took a few months of planning, a full day of shooting, and had a production value of $10,000. And the end product is a powerful tool to help photographers communicate the value of albums to their clients in a non-salesy way.
