This is the good-looking group who attended the MJ2Day last week. Men are always welcome at the workshop, but this time we were an all-girls group. We had 13 attendees total -- one all the way from Germany, two from Massachusetts, one from Virginia, one from Florida, one from Ohio, one from Michigan, one from Texas, one from Colorado, one from California, and three from Arizona. Starting at the top row L to R: Cailin Smith, Briana Santiago, Dawn Gardner, Jennifer Clapp, Laura Natividad, Alison Marie, Erin Knabenbauer, Liz Reis, Dixie-dog (workshop mascot), Anja Waegele, Brooke Azevedo, Meghan Spencer, April Bertelsen, and Renee Cleavenger.

It was a great group and we packed the two days full to the brink. If you missed the mock engagement shoot I posted last week, click here to get caught up! On day two we covered business topics like the state of the market, workflow, album design & sales, vendor relations & networking, blogging & social media, initial client meetings, pricing, websites and branding. Phew! In essence, I poured the full contents of my brain on them. In the midst of all this learning, connections were made and relationships were formed. I think that's one of the best things about going to workshops! You come away with a whole new set of friends who share your passion!

On day two, we of course started with coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker myself, so this baby is only taken out twice a year when I host a workshop!
Each of the 13 attendees got a workbook chock full of info and a goody-bag full of valuable gifts from our sponsors. We also gave away over $13,000 worth of prizes from our 10 sponsors. THIRTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS worth of stuff to only 13 people!!! CRAZY! I wanted to give a shout-out to our fabulous sponsors who added so much value to the attendees' workshop experience: Destination I Do Magazine, Pictage, Jared Platt Workshops, ShowIt, Two Bright Lights, Electric Dreams Design, B&H, Epiphanie Bags, ShootDotEdit, and Sitehouse. Thank you so much for your support!
I speak better with the full use of my hands, so there was a lot of this going on:

I'm thrilled that once again, the MJ2DAY was a huge success! I love that I know 13 more photographers from around the world who are working hard to bring their photography and businesses to the next level. I can't wait to see where their individual journeys take them!
