Ben and Ashley are getting married in the backyard of their beautiful home located in the Arcadia area of Phoenix in just two short months. This home is special to them because Ben basically rebuilt it from the studs -- it's one of the many things he does for a living. He put his heart and soul into the redesign -- from the large scale decisions like the floor plan and ceiling height, to all the little details like the cedar roof shingles, tile backsplash in the kitchen, and the charming bay window with a bench seat in their master bedroom. The couple will likely only live here for a few years before moving on to the next project, but this home is a slice of their lives together -- the place where they are planning their wedding and the very first home they will occupy as a married couple. Because it is so special to them (and so amazingly gorgeous!!) -- I thought it would be the perfect location for their engagement shoot. And since they are getting married in the backyard, what better place to start their engagement photos than in the front yard? So that's just what we did. I will be sharing the second part of their session that took place in their kitchen in a couple days, but for now, here are a few favorites from part 1.
