"You'd like me to WHAT!? Photograph a party based around DONUTS!?"
That was pretty much my reaction when Sarah Hubbell, the Editor of Emma Magazine asked me to document their "Favorite Things" party for the Spring issue. Little did she know donuts and I have a love-love relationship. In that I love them and I've never heard one complain about me eating it. Suffice it to say, this was a super-fun shoot and I was paid in donuts.
I had never heard of a "Favorite Things" party, but I love the idea! Everyone brings 5 of the same item that they love that is under $10 in price and then they swap! Everyone goes home with a mix of things that are well-loved and used by the group. It's a fun way to be introduced to new products and learn why gal-pals love them! The brunch took place at Rollover Doughnut in Phoenix and was beyond cute and charming. Here are a few of my favorite photos from this fun and tasty event:
