Frivolous: playful, lighthearted, trivial; the little things in life that should be savored.

Highlight of the week: Easter ya'll. I'm thankful for Jesus 365 days of the year, but there's just something about having a holiday set aside to celebrate his resurrection and the grace I have received from him with the church worldwide that is such a blessing. My Easter was super-low key this year. Just church, lunch out with family, and a whole lot of relaxing.

Yes, I did this:
1 -- Photographed an engagement shoot for a couple I had a hand in introducing!
2 -- Did two Skype coaching sessions -- one with a past bride who wanted to learn the basics of her new DSLR camera. So fun!
3 -- Snapped (or Snapchatted?) my dog getting a haircut complete with narration in my best Dixie-voice. (Find me on Snapchat at melissa_jill :))

Celebrating: I got two big business goals checked off my list this week. I successfully held my first webinar, and my album design company, Align, rolled out new bulk pricing discounts. Both of these things sound relatively simple, but it's crazy how much behind-the-scenes work goes into launching these types of things. The webinar was an invite-only webinar for my associate photography program coaching clients and I'm SO glad I spent the day before testing everything out, because with this being my first time hosting a webinar, I was worried about issues happening when we were live, but thankfully, other than the general awkwardness I felt talking to a computer screen without seeing the faces of my audience, everything went off without a hitch! And the bulk pricing roll-out for Align -- that has been a huge project with lots of moving parts that has been in the works since January. There's nothing better than crossing the finish line on big goals!

The cute pup pictured above is Ruby -- Dixie's friend. She lives 6 houses down from us, and her human -- Amber -- is 33 weeks pregnant with twins. Amber has been on bed rest since week 25, so for the past 8 weeks, Dixie and I have been picking up Ruby and taking her on our daily walks. And not to brag, or anything, but I'm pretty stellar at it. I'm thinking if this whole photography thing doesn't pan out, I might take up professional dog walking. The pay might not be great, but the clients make up for it in cuteness!

Feeling Blessed: It sounds so superficial to talk about the weather, but I'm seriously feeling so blessed this week to work from home with my windows and doors open. It's been in the 70s and low 80s and I can't get enough of the cool breeze. Summers in Arizona come early, so I'm enjoying this season while it lasts!
