Frivolous: playful, lighthearted, trivial; the little things in life that should be savored.
Highlight of the week: The slower pace of this week has been such a blessing. I ended up coming down with a nasty cold on Christmas Eve that I still haven't shaken. It's kleenex central over here. But I'm thankful that I have margin in my life right now to lay low and rest it out. Last night I rang in the new year at my neighbors' house and we drank hot tea and ate taco salad and cupcakes and laughed at ourselves for being old. It was perfect. And I might not get out of my pajamas today.
Yes, I did this:
1 -- Laid on my sofa next to a fire in the fireplace nearly every single night.
2 -- Put a sweater on Dixie-dog for the first time this season after a long-overdue haircut.
3 -- Returned a lone CD from an audio book that I found in my car stereo. It was a year overdue. Eek!
Celebrating: This week I hit a milestone -- 10K followers on Instagram! The number of followers we have on social media means very little in the scheme of things, but it was a fun little moment to celebrate!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the giveaway this week by pinning your favorite images from the Best of Weddings and Best of Engagements blog posts! It was SO fun to see which images you all liked best! I'm so excited to announce the winner of the $25 Starbucks gift card and $10 iTunes card is Bethany Dudley!! Congrats! To see which wedding image and which engagement photo got the most pins, click over to my Instagram account here!
Feeling Blessed: A new year brings with it lots of possibility and room to dream big dreams and set big goals. But the unknowns and the unlimited possibilities can also be unsettling and overwhelming. I'm so thankful to know that I'm not alone in this journey. The Lord has gone before me through every step of 2015 and he continues to hold me in the palm of his hand. Goal #1 for 2016 -- hold on tight.
