It's been over a year since I did my last Frivolous Friday post, but starting today, these weekly posts are back by popular demand! And by "popular demand" I mean I've been hounded by two close friends and politely asked by three blog readers. But as you can see, I had to bend to the public outcry. So without further ado (because Frivolous Fridays, while they are frivolous, are not long-winded) here's what's been going on in my life this week:

Frivolous: playful, lighthearted, trivial; the little things in life that should be savored.

Highlight of the week: I can't believe it, but my team that walked for autism this past weekend exceeded our big-hairy-audacious-goal and raised over $10,000 for research into this rapidly growing epidemic that has impacted my family and countless others! I'm doing a happy dance and am feeling SO thankful for everyone who supported us by walking and giving generously! If you missed it, click here to see some photos and a recap of the walk!

Yes, I did this:
1 -- Had a show-down with a cockroach IN MY BEDROOM at 5:30 in the morning. And won. Little bastard.
2 -- Sang birthday wishes to two of my dear friends over the phone. Because one should always be sung to on one's birthday.
3 -- Spent part of my own birthday on the side of the road with a flat tire. Fun times. Thankfully people who love me came to my rescue.

Celebrating: A whole week under 100 degree temperatures for the first time in 4 LONG MONTHS. For those of you in colder states, it's like when the sun comes out and the last of the snow finally melts at the end of a long winter. Birds are singing again, my soul is lifted, and all is right with the world.

I managed to fit 3 dinners out with various groups of friends at favorite local restaurants into my week. I have so many favorite restaurants within a 10 mile radius of my home that I could probably go to a different one each night of the month, so it's always a conundrum to pick just ONE, but somehow I bear the burden. If you ever need restaurant recommendations in the Phoenix area, I'm your girl!

Feeling Blessed: Tomorrow I get to shoot a wedding for this sweet couple. And Teddy, their adorable pup, is the ring bearer!!
