I think that the stories clients tell reveal so much about who they are! Josh & Lexie both told me stories about when they were first dating, and I was moved by the quiet romance of what they remembered. Lexie shared a treasured memory of going for a run (at Josh's suggestion) and feeling ready to pass out, because she was SO not a runner. But she survived, and they picked up sandwiches afterward. They sat on a stoop in their running clothes, eating sandwiches and talking for almost 2 hours. Lexie said, "It was so perfect and simple." Josh described a different date, but a similar feeling. He told me about going on a walk around Roosevelt Island, talking about life and planning an upcoming camping trip, which would be their first out of town weekend together. He loves this memory, he said, because, "We could find a way to have fun together, regardless of the circumstances."
The thing I find so touching about both of these stories is that neither was a big, dramatic event. Both Josh and Lexie's cherished dating memories are of simply spending time alone together, talking and connecting. And witnessing the two of them together, that isn't really a surprise! The loving bond between them is clear to see, and I know it will last a lifetime.
Josh & Lexie's wedding was absolutely lovely, with pale flowers and fresh design inspiration. I love how classic they looked as a couple, with Josh in a deep blue tuxedo and Lexie in a refined and elegant gown. Here are a few of my favorite photos of their day:
