David and Zofia are both in science-heavy disciplines (Zofia is a physician who works in radiology, while David has a meteorology degree and operates a nuclear reactor). But the stereotype of egg-heads who refuse to leave the lab couldn't be further from the truth! These two love to paint, hike, ski, play tennis, and visit arts museums together. They share an active life, an appreciation for beauty, and a deep faith in the Lord.
As I mentioned in their engagement post, one of David & Zofia's most treasured memories is painting the sunset together on a California beach. They incorporated this shared love of painting into their wedding day, as Zofia painted a one-of-a-kind wedding portrait of herself and David mounting the steps at Montelucia. It's such a beautiful & unique tribute to the happiest day of their lives!
