Amy once told me that the thing that makes her relationship with Josh so unique is the way the Lord brought together two opposite personalities to create one loving couple. Amy describes herself as high-strung, while Josh is patient and steady. Amy likes non-fiction movies but Josh is a movie expert. Amy likes to hike, and Josh likes to golf. When I see the two of them together, I can only rejoice that the Lord knows what he's doing, because they are such a perfect fit!
The moment that I learned that Josh & Amy's wedding was being held on the property of her family's home and dairy farm, I knew it was going to be a fun one! What I couldn't have predicted was how stunningly beautiful it would be! I love the way the humble homeliness of the dairy combined with colorful flowers and elegant decor to create such a stunning event! It's an unexpected and wonderful combination that makes Amy's words about opposites ring true.
Josh & Amy's wedding day was a delight from start to finish! Their loving families celebrated with them at an outdoor ceremony and tented reception full of Dutch blue touches and charming accents ... like hand-painted cowbells that bear testament to the importance of the dairy in their lives and work. I felt so blessed to be there to photograph this day! Here are a few of my favorite photos from this gorgeous wedding:
