They say that one of the best ways to get to know someone can be to see how they interact with their family. When Alison got that insight into Jon's personality, she knew that he was the man she wanted to spend her life with!
Jon & Alison had been dating for less than four months when the two took a trip to Boston to celebrate the 90th birthday of Jon's grandmother. Watching Jon laughing with his family and playing with his little niece, Alison fell deeper in love with him. Throughout their stay, Alison met Jon's entire family, and they made her feel so connected and welcome that she knew ... not only was Jon the guy she'd been waiting for, but his family was one that she wanted to be a part of forever. Alison's own family welcomed Jon just as thoroughly, and even conspired with him to surprise Alison when he proposed. As I spent time with both families at their wedding, it was easy to see how Jon & Alison came to be such kind, fun people!
