Yay! Another room in my new house has made it on the blog!
This is my hall bathroom. It's the bathroom you would use if you visited me. It's the room my clients use when they're at my house for a meeting. And it's one of my favorite rooms in the house.
Here's a comparison of the before and after:

Here's a comparison of the before and after:
So as you can see, I didn't do a ton of work in here -- the room had some good bones to work with. The aqua & black tile around the tub and sink is original from the 50s and of course, I didn't want to part with that. It also had some good storage cabinets and an entire wall of bead boarding with a shelf.
But the bathroom was just screaming for this black and white hexagon floor tile that is one of the best things my bare feet have ever set foot on (ordered it from Home Depot online). I also replaced the dated mirror and light fixture with a round mirror I already had that just needed to be painted black and two sconces from Pottery Barn.
Here are a few more new touches -- a fun magazine toilet paper rack (Pottery Barn), framed and matted black and white prints from some of my travels to Africa, Italy and Nebraska, and a close-up of the yummy tile:

I replaced the shower fixtures with these great bronze ones so they would match the rest of the fixtures in the bathroom. I also added a towel shelf that I brought over from the old house above the toilet:
Thanks for stopping by! Stay tuned for more before & after room renovations soon!
