Ya. I pretty much haven't had a life for the last couple months. In the sense of a personal life. Saturday marked my 11th wedding in 11 weeks and also my last wedding of 2008!! Yay!!!!!!

Don't get me wrong--I LOVE what I do. But I also have such a sense of relief and accomplishment for making it through the craziness.

Phoenix is one of the only places in the nation where wedding season ISN'T the summer. It's Spring and Fall here. And for me--the Fall always seems the busiest. I shoot between 20-25 weddings a year and ideally, I would love to space them out to 2 a month. What a nice, calm, scheduled life I would lead year round. But for some reason--and I'm completely perplexed by this--brides don't generally consult me when considering their wedding date. So every Fall I gear up to be a completely unbalanced workaholic with no sense of who I am apart from being a photographer. It's just the nature of the beast.

I had an amazing Fall season filled with some of the best clients EVER and I continue to be amazed at how blessed I am to do what I do. Now that I'm done, I'm taking a deep breath, and trying to accept that Christmas is just around the corner. Yikes! Where has the time gone? I love this season of year SO MUCH but sometimes it's hard to get into the Christmas spirit in time to enjoy it. I'm one of those people who takes so long to warm up to the idea, that I'm putting up my Christmas tree the week before Christmas and then leaving it up until the end of January because it went so fast and I just don't want it to be over!

Today I'm headed to LA for a few days to complete one of my goals on my 101 in 1001 list that is also going to help me get into the Christmas Spirit and just STOP and enjoy this time of the year. I can't wait! It's something I need SO MUCH and it's going to be great. Stay tuned for more!
