Last semester I broke new ground by bringing interns on board. I had such a fantastic experience with my spring interns that I couldn’t wait for the new school year to start so I could do it all again! And I lucked out -- my fall intern, Megan, is already blowing me away with her sharp insights and dedicated work ethic. And she's sweet to boot!
Megan is a junior at Arizona State University, majoring in Communication with a certificate in Sales & Marketing. I'm so thrilled to have her on the MJP team this semester and I thought I'd introduce her to you interview-style:
Tell me a little bit about your plans! What is your dream job after college?
Megan: My dream job would be to become an Engagement/Wedding Photographer and someday own my own business! I love the idea of creating a brand that is true to who I am and what I value and being able do something I love while making others happy at the same time :)
How do you think interning with MJP will help you on the path to reaching your goals?
Megan: I’m very passionate about photography and social media marketing so I love the idea of creating content that resonates with individuals on a personal and creative level! This internship will help me improve my creative marketing skills and teach me aspects of business I am not familiar with!

I LOVE that you are excited to create content, and I can't wait to exploit ... I mean, encourage that -- haha! And now that we have the serious questions out of the way, we can get down to the REALLY important things. First critical question: What is your favorite comfort food?
Megan: Grilled Cheese & Tater Tots are my go-to!
What do you like to do in your free time?
Megan: Binge watching TV series on Netflix (The Office for five hours straight, yes please!) and spending time with family & friends!
Finish this sentence: The motto of my life is . . .
Megan: “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me- the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” -Acts 20:24
Last question! What are two interesting facts about you that people wouldn't guess when they first meet you?
Megan: First, I attended two elementary schools (in the same state), two middle schools (in different states) and (almost) transferred Universities! I became so used to moving around when I was younger that I now love the idea of never being tied to one location!
And second, when I was in the 4th grade I went to the state chess tournament and totally tanked! I did however place 2nd at the regional tournament (super nerd status). Now I hardly remember how to play!
Yay! I feel so blessed to have Megan on my team! You'll be seeing more from her here on the blog, and I can't wait to share the fresh ideas and new perspective she brings in the coming months!
