Here's another recent email I got from a fellow photographer. She noticed that I don't have a macro lens on my list of equipment (above under "resources for photographers") and wondered about my detail shots. I have considered getting a macro lens because they have great results but my bag is barely able to close as it is, it is so packed full! Plus macro lenses are such specialty lenses. They're great but you don't use them often. So my "easy tip" is CROPPING! I use my 50mm and get as close as I can to the subject to get it in focus then I crop later! That's about as easy as it gets :).
