Frivolous: playful, lighthearted, trivial; the little things in life that should be savored.
Highlight of the week: I love looking at historic homes filled with character and charm. On Sunday I toured some in a downtown historic district with my mom and friend Kari. It was a GORGEOUS day out. I brought Dixie along, we ate food from a food truck, listened to live music and shopped from local vendor booths -- all part of the Willo Home Tour. SO much fun.
Yes, I did this:
1 -- Watched Mean Girls for the first time. According to some friends who gasped upon learning I hadn't yet seen it yet, I was completely missing out. But now I'm in the know and I have to admit that it WAS fetch.
2 -- Mentioned to a florist friend at a networking meeting that I hadn't yet met her husband (who was sitting next to her) only to be told that I actually had met him years ago when they sat down with me to consider hiring me as their wedding photographer! Yikes! Open mouth. Insert foot. They were so sweet about it -- going on and on about how they wish they could have hired me but couldn't afford me...yada yada. But yes. That did happen.
Anyone watching The Bachelor? Any wagers on who Sean is going to end up with? My money is on none of the above. The four left are all nice girls. Ashlee seems the most ready and grounded, but I'm just not feeling like he's completely clicking with any of them. And if we factor in the track record of match-making on The Bachelor, it's not looking good. Of course I'll be seeing it through to the end though!
Celebrating: SARA NEVELS' BIRTHDAY!! Sara has been working for me for over two years and Monday was her 28th birthday. But a day is never enough for a birthday so we made a whole weekend out of it -- 5 of the 9 above instagrams document the festivities. They include: birthday dinner out, birthday lunch at Delux, a new cozy cowl, and a surprise cupcake/movie night with friends. So thankful for you Sara!
Tomorrow is my first wedding of the year! Yay! Can't wait to document this cute couple's big day!
Feeling Blessed: This sweetie was my valentine, and although there were no boys involved, I did get candy and a movie on single awareness day :).
