Every weekend night the bars and nightclubs of swanky Old Town Scottsdale fill with young men and women - some looking for an evening of fun, many hoping to find love. But honestly ... does real love EVER happen at a bar?
For Jay and Kiera, it did.
Jay saw her from across the room and could barely catch his breath. He whispered to two of his girlfriends that she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen - but he wasn't the kind of guy to approach a woman out at a bar. His friends insisted, and then took matters into their own hands. Before he knew it, there she was standing right in front of him. And he couldn't wipe the smile off his face. When he asked if he could buy her a drink, Kiera said yes and they spent the rest of the evening standing at the bar talking. Though they were surrounded by the chaos of a Saturday night in Old Town, for Jay and Kiera the noise around them faded and all they saw was each other.
Jay and Kiera were married on Saturday at the Royal Palms in Phoenix. Rain threatened but stayed at bay. I got to work with the girls of Outstanding Occasions -- one of my favorite planners, so everything ran seamlessly. It was a beautiful day.
