I've had many comments from this post asking me to elaborate on #2 -- Although I've never gotten a ticket, I have rear-ended a city bus and then drove away. I know many of you are wondering if I am a wanted criminal and have checked for my face on America's Most Wanted's website, so to put to rest the mystery and anxiety that have been eating you alive, here is the rest of the story....

About 6 years ago, I was driving back to my then-job in my then-car -- a 1995 red Dodge Neon. I was in the right lane behind a city bus that was pulling over at a bus stop. I slowed to about 5 mph and was checking my blind spot to change lanes when I hit the bus. Not a good idea. If this happens to you just stop behind the bus and wait. At least make sure you're fully stopped before you see about changing lanes. My tiny little car's front end went under the bus's rear bumper and my hood crumpled like tin foil. I don't think the bus moved an inch. I pulled around to the front of the bus to see if the driver had noticed me and he was getting out of the bus and walking to the nearby store like he was going to get coffee or make a telephone call or something. He didn't even look my way. So instead of turning myself in for who knows how many needless hours of paperwork, I drove away. That's it. That's the whole extent of the excitement. Although I've never gotten a ticket, I probably most definitely deserve one... or a couple....
