Frivolous: playful, lighthearted, trivial; the little things in life that should be savored.

Highlight of the week: Spending time in Charleston with a dear friend. It was basically my perfect vacation. Eating out at local restaurants, shopping, and walking through neighborhoods full of historic homes. I was in my happy place.

Yes, I did this:
1 -- Went on a run while I was in Charleston. I must have been distracted by this gorgeous view because moments after breaking to take that photo, I completely biffed it and became one with the sidewalk.
2 -- Stuffed three sweaters, two shirts, three scarves, a jacket, a pair of boots, pjs, and a bunch of jewelry that I bought while shopping into my already full suitcase on my flight home. It's amazing how you can make it fit somehow (in this case, with the help of my expert-packer friend sitting on it). And it ended up being EXACTLY 50 lbs. on the scale. What do you know? -- looks like I stopped shopping at the perfect time.

I had a bit of a faulty umbrella situation during a downpour in downtown Charleston. It was a long, very wet walk back to our apartment.

Celebrating: Being reunited with Dixie after 2 1/2 weeks apart. Man I missed that dog. She is the sweetest thing -- she literally gives me whiny, wiggly hugs to welcome me home.

I checked email and worked a few hours every day of my 2 1/2 week vacation. Running your own business is great in so many ways, but I've learned it's just easier to work a little while traveling. If you opt to ignore it all with auto responders, it takes months to catch up when you return.

Feeling Blessed: I loved my trip and made so many good memories, but I'm a homebody. And now I'm home.
