Highlight of the week: I used my mad networking skills (a.k.a. sharing a friend's FB post on my page) to find three adorable 7-week-old kittens homes. It was pretty gratifying because some good friends of mine adopted them from another good friend and those kittens are now living in the lap of luxury and are seriously LOVED.
Yes, I did this:
1 -- Got a little carried away on the bean dip & salsa at my favorite local Mexican joint.
2 -- Put my big boy pants on and unclogged the shower drain to the best of my ability. Clearly I have no idea what I'm doing, though, because the water is now only draining slower than it was prior to my efforts.
So You Think You Can Dance seriously got good this week. I've been watching this show since season 2, so I LOVE when they bring back the all-stars. It's like seeing my good friends again. What I wouldn't give to dance with Neil... swoon. The contestants this season are all so talented. But my top pics are Jasmine, Aaron and Amy.
Celebrating: My album design company, Align, had our busiest week yet! We cranked out 35 designs in the span of 7 days! Yay! I'm having so much fun growing another business and I'm so thankful for all the amazing clients we have the opportunity to serve!
Dixie-dog got a much-dreaded haircut. Here's a little before & after goodness. Her "get me out of here" expression (especially in the "before" photo) is classic.
Counting My Blessings: I'm praying for way too many people on CaringBridge.org these days. My heart is just breaking -- there are too many hard things in this life. I know anything can change in the blink of an eye, but praying for others who are enduring intense hardships makes me thankful that, at least for the moment, my family is healthy.
