Frivolous: playful, lighthearted, trivial; the little things in life that should be savored.
Favorite Outfit of the Week: Top: Forever 21 / Skinny jeans: Lucky / Yellow belt: Target / Bracelet: Ruche / Arturo Chiang coral heels: Dillards
Highlight of the week: Took a day off to go to a water park with my nephew -- something that has become a summer tradition of ours. Holding onto his inter-tube as we rounded the curve of the lazy river for the umpteenth time was bliss.
Yes, I did this:
1 -- Ate a brownie in the hopes of working up enough energy to work out. Ironically, it worked.
2 -- Killed a spider in my bed with my bare hand. There was nothing else handy and the alternative was unthinkable.
On last week's Frivolous Friday post I mentioned being thankful that I was born after the invention of the air conditioner. And this week mine went out on me. My unit is only three years old, but I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever make it through a summer in Arizona without an AC repair.
Celebrating: This Facebook post by an alumni of the most recent MJ2Day in Charlotte, NC made my day. I love hearing fun stories like this about how attending the workshop pays off!
I'm one of those annoying Instagrammers who posts photos of her dog 50% of the time. But I live with this kind of cuteness on an ongoing basis, so I am compelled to share. Plus, those of you who follow me encourage this kind of behavior. Dixie-grams always get the most likes.
Counting My Blessings: This week was full of quality time with good friends -- two lunches out, dinner in, doggie-play-dates, and a spontaneous donut-run/90s movie night. SO thankful for friends AND time to spend with them!
