Jason and Allyson were married Saturday at Silverleaf Club on a pleasantly mild (Arizona) October day. I had so much fun shooting this wedding. Silverleaf is one of my absolute favorite venues and it's always a treat to work there. I also really enjoyed working with Jason, Allyson and their friends and families. The love and joy they all felt in one another's presence just permeated every knook and cranny of the day.
I knew the day was going to be great when I saw Allyson's dress:

This is the first wedding I've shot where the bride wore a short dress and I can totally see this trend catching on. Especially in Arizona where staying cool is a must.

The best man had an innovative idea for a ring shot:
Allyson's flowers done by The Flower Studio packed a bold punch of color:
Jason and Allyson were giddy when they first saw each other before the wedding:
Some of their family members snuck a peek at the first look:
I love this shot of Allyson:
The gorgeous ceremony site:
The sky threatened rain all day long and even sprinkled on and off. But we were still able to stay outdoors. As the guests gathered for the ceremony there were a few umbrellas up. I love how this guest's yarmulke mimics the umbrella in the background:
Jason waiting for his bride:
Allyson descended a large staircase alone and was met by both of her parents at the bottom:
Jason and Allyson's immediate families--including their parents--made up the bridal party:
What a breath-taking setting:
During the ceremony this rainbow appeared to the guests' right:
Another thing I adored about this wedding: the reception details. Forgive me for posting way too many.
Silverleaf has the most amazing banquet room. Some of the tables were set up outside and because of the rain, that portion was covered by a clear tent. It only added to the sparkle:
The first dance:
A sweet mother-daughter moment:
And a final reason I loved this wedding: my favorite band--Jodi Light and the Shining Stars--seriously ROCKED it. I love them.
I decided during this reception that I want to be Jewish just for the dancing. These people seriously know how to have fun. It was a blast to be a part of and photograph. And if I ever get married I definitely want to do the chair dance.

Such a great wedding! Thanks Jason & Allyson!
