They met online.
Marci joined the site after just moving to Arizona and a week later Alex sent her a message. He thought she was cute, (hoped she was normal) and the minute he saw her walking into their lunch date he was relieved she was as cute as her pictures indicated she would be. Lunch required an encore and continued at Starbucks. Conversation was easy and both hoped that this one would be special. It didn't take long before they knew this was more than special...this was IT.
I love the story Alex shared: It was about 2 months into dating when Alex and Marci were out for sushi. They were chatting away when, mid-sentence, Marci took a bite of something spicy. It shocked her and the look of surprise on her face quickly melted into an embarrassed smile. Alex will never forget... it was in that simple moment when he thought, for the first time, "I could marry this girl."
And on Saturday at Silverleaf Club in Scottsdale, he did.

Marci is such a sweetie and she spent the entire day grinning ear to ear. I love how excited these two were to marry each other.
Marci loves color -- a girl after my own heart -- and her flowers, done by Artistic Surroundings, were gorgeous:
Marci made such a beautiful bride!!
These two opted to do a first look and I loved capturing their reaction upon seeing each other for the first time:
Such a great looking couple!
Alex and Marci are Jewish, so they had a Ketubah ceremony before their civil ceremony. I always love shooting these and this one was no exception.
Then the finishing touch of the veil was all that was left before saying "I do"!
We could not have asked for a more beautiful day for an Arizona wedding.
Again with the gorgeousness:
Alex and Marci wrote their own vows and I love how personal and emotion-filled that made the ceremony.
And finally -- the moment they had been waiting for -- husband and wife!
The reception setting was over-the-top gorgeous!
So many fun details to shoot!
And this cake by Sugar Sugar Cake Studio has to be the biggest I've ever seen:
The toasts had everyone laughing and crying:
And the couple's first dance was very sweet:
The dance floor was packed all night as my favorite band -- The Shining Star Band -- kept the party rocking!
SUCH a great wedding! Congratulations Alex & Marci!!
