33. Visit Becky in San Diego while David is in Iraq
I'm in beautiful San Diego this weekend visiting my dear friend Becky who I went to college with. Her husband, David, is a Navy JAG, stationed here in San Diego and is serving for 7 months in Iraq at the base in Baghdad. He is awesome and a good friend from college as well. When I was writing my 101 in 1001 list I knew David was heading out so I wanted to make a point to come out and support Becky. It's gotta be tough to be apart for that length of time if you're married. She's doing really well and has a total peace about it. And she's getting a lot of fun visitors, so that's good--helping the time to fly by.
We took the top photo on self-timer tonight while we were waiting for our table at the restaurant in the background. The Salmon we ate was yummy! We walked around the city a bit tonight too. The weather is AMAZING. It's so refreshing to feel cool air :). Should be a fun weekend! |
