Wedding inspiration can come from any number of places. Even a poem. The Owl & the Pussy-Cat is a tale of an unlikely pair finding love together. And it was the inspiration for a colorful, bohemian styled shoot I was recently a part of. It is featured today over on Ruffled and I'm thrilled to finally be able to share it with you! I partnered with the following vendors and the combined talent of this amazing team brought our inspiration to life!

Concept, florist & table/props: Amanda Johnson of Butterfly Petals
Invitation & paper suite: Kelly Ashworth Design
Stylist: Alex of AVE Styles
Dress: Mariee Gallery
Venue: Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area
Models: Cody & Jessica Helgeson
Makeup: Ashley Nicole
Hair: Kim Cornwell
Amanda gets credit for the amazing inspiration and concept for this shoot -- I just love it. If you're unfamiliar with the poem, as I was, it features an unlikely pairing: an owl and a cat. The owl serenades the cat, and she's so entranced that they decide to run away and be married at once. What about a ring? Well, they borrow one from a friendly pig and are married by a turkey. It's a fun, light-hearted tale about two souls finding each other even though they're an unlikely fit.
Cody & Jessica -- our sweet models -- are a married couple and they are just so cute together:
How fun to include a poem in your invitation to set the tone of the wedding for your guests!
Cody even plays a little guitar -- which was a perfect fit for our story:
I just LOVE all the colors!
What a fun shoot! There are more photos and details over on the Ruffled blog feature! Check it out here!
